Paper Adventures September blog hop – Sketch

Paper Adventures Header

Hi again and thank you for hopping along for the September Paper Adventures blog hop. Our guest designer this month is Gail Ellis from, welcome Gail and thank you for joining us,

The theme for this month is “Sketch” and this is the graphic that we can loosely base our design on.

Every year I send quite a few Christmas cards overseas and as our postal service is still in turmoil due to Covid I decided that I had better get a move on and get some cards made and into the post. Hopefully they will reach their destination in time for the festive season.

My colours of choice for this card are Real Red and Garden Green both of which complement the Poinsettia Place Suite that I have used.

The Real Red card base has a Garden Green matt which I embossed with the Tasteful Textures 3D embossing folder. I then stamped and die cut the smallest poinsettia twice, adhered them together and used that as the background for my sentiment. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and I finished off the front of the card with a piece of Mossy Meadow Diagonal Stripe ribbon.

For the inside of the card I followed through the theme with a sprig of Mistletoe to match the DSP on the front.

As I am last on the list if you click on the Next button below it will take you to the start of the blog hop and the extremely talented Kelly Kent, I wonder what delights a Kelly has in store for us.

  1. You’ve just given me an appropriate reminder to get on to the overseas Christmas cards because you’re right, they will take forever this year. I’ll probably be CASEing your gorgeous card, too, because it is so festive. I love the embossed background and the use of the poinsettia for your circle element. Very clever. 🙂 Siobhan.
