Hello to my fellow crafters and welcome to the last Social Stamping blog host hosted by the very talented Kelly Kent. If you have arrived here via my lovely friend Shannon Kissane – aka The Crafty Engineer, you will have seen the delightful projects that Shannon has created and are in store for many more from our lovely demonstrators.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kelly for her brilliant organisation of this blog host to keep like minded demonstrators connected during Covid 19 when our world was was falling apart and we had to adapt to the “new normal”. Kelly has come up with different themes which has definitely challenged me and made me think of something new to showcase.
All good things must come to an end and although this is the last Social Stamping weekly blog host, the good news is that all your favourite demonstrators will return on a monthly basis, stay tuned to see all of the exciting projects that we have in store for you.
The theme for this last blog host is Change and what a challenge this was. I asked myself what was I changing from or too. I decided that I would Change a card that I had I had seen made by Sharon Armstrong.
The card that Sharon made was a fancy fold Wedding card using the American imperial measurements, this is Sharon’s card.
I changed my project to a Birthday card and changed the measurements to Australian metric, this is my card
The card base is Highland Heather with a strip of Best Dressed DSP on the 1” scored piece, the large and small matt is Mint Macaron to which I have added a piece of Whisper White.
The flowerpot and flowers are from the new Basket of Blooms stamp set. I stamped the flowers on to the small WW piece then again on a scrap piece and fussy cut it, I then placed it on top of stamped image with dimensionals. The sentiment is from Bonanza Buddies. If you would like to make this card here are the my measurements:
10.5cm x 29.7cm card base scored at 14.9cm and 17.4cm
DSP piece – 2cm x 9.8cm
Large Mint Macaron matt – 11.7cm x 9.8cm
Large Whisper White matt – 11.1cm x 9.2cm
Small Mint Macaron matt – 9.2cm x 7.3cm
Small Whisper White matt – 8.6cm x 6.7cm
