Hello to my amazing Stampin’ Up friends for another Social Stamping blog host organised by the wonderful Kelly Kent. Three months ago Kelly came up with the fabulous idea of organising a blog host for demonstrators that would keep us all connected when the world around us was changing day by day. It is a tribute to Kelly that we are all still enjoying our weekly connectivity, I know I do.
The theme this week is “Thinking Of You”. Today is a very poignant day for me as 26 years ago today I lost my dad to that insidious disease – Cancer. My dad loved me, raised me and gave me the values that made me the person that I am today. In memory of my dad and his Scottish heritage I have used one of my favourite fun fold cards, the corner triangle pop up card. I first saw this technique on Jan Brown Utube channel and have made quite a few since then. Jan has a wonderful blog janbcards.com, this is her link.
Here is a list of the supplies I used:
Card Base: Cherry Cobbler
Matt: Whisper White
DSP: Perfectly Plaid
Stamps: Climbing Roses, Little Ladybug
Dies: Rose Trellis, Stitched Shapes, Layered Circles
Once I had finished this card I decided to make another one and came up with this fun version. I delved into my DSP stack (hoard) and brought out the Pleased as Punch DSP, with all the winter weather that has come our way lately I thought this was ideal.
Card Base: Coastal Cabana
Matt: Petal Pink
DSP: Pleased as Punch
Stamps: Under My Umbrella, Little Ladybug
Dies: Umbrella punch, Stitched Shapes, Rectangle Dies
