Paper Adventures blog hop – Kit Challenge

Paper Adventures Header

Hello fellow crafters and thank you for stopping by the Paper Adventures blog hop. If you have arrived here from Narelles blog I know you will have been very impressed with her creations. I would also like to welcome Joanne James who is our guest designer for this month, Joanne lives in the UK and has a blog called the Crafty Owl, I love the projects that she creates. Although we are not allowed to travel overseas it is so good that we can get together to share our love of papercrafting through social media.

The theme for this month is Kit Challenge, this is our challenge:

The card base for my project is Mint Macaron onto which I adhered a Petal Pink matt. For my Whisper White matt I used the Tufted Embossing Folder, I covered the inside of the folder with Versamark Ink, ran it through the Big Shot then heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder (the white heat embossing doesn’t show on the photo). My square piece of DSP is from the Best Dressed DSP and is 2 3/8” square, I then layered that onto a Mint Macaron Layered Square. Before I adhered that onto to Whisper White matt I added my 4” piece of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon. My embellishments were pearls across the top and bottom and to finish off I added a Petal Pink metallic edge ribbon bow.

Next on the blog hop is Joanne James, click on the next button below to see what wonderful projects Joanne has created for us.

Thanks again for visiting my page, I hope you enjoyed this challenge as much as I enjoyed creating it.

  1. Double embossing – over achieving!! That’s a cool technique, though. I’ll have to try it. Love the soft and pretty colour scheme you’ve chosen and such a pretty square of DSP. 🙂 Siobhan.

  2. I’ve never double-embossed in that way Sheila – clever! I love the soft colours you chose for your card and that DSP pattern is from one of my favourite packs. So very pretty! Thanks for having me as your blog hop guest this time around – it is great to be able to craft with you from afar!
