Social Stamping thank you

Hello and welcome to our Social Stamping blog host, the theme for this blog is Thank You. I don’t know about you but I am exceedingly thankful to all of our front line emergency staff and also our supermarket workers, both of whom are working extremely hard to ensure that we are kept safe and are able to do our grocery shopping.

The idea for my card came from a “Thinking Of You” card that I was making as happy mail for a few friends. I had all these flowers on my desk and my brain was saying that these flowers could make a great Thank You card so here it is.

Our normal 4 1/8” x 5 7/8” card wasn’t going to work so I made it 5 1/2” square which worked perfectly. The base is Purple Posy and it topped with a Mint Macaron matt, the flowers and leaves are from the Floral Essence stamp set, the flowers are stamped on Purple Posy cardstock with Highland Heather and punched with the Perennial Flower lunch, the leaves are stamped in Mint Macaron and punched with the leaf punch. Two flowers are adhered together with tombow, I attached the leaves to the flower and adhered them onto the Whisper White matt. The sentiment is from Peaceful Moments and die cut from Stitched Shapes and attached to a Mint Macaron Layered Circle. A strip of silver glimmer paper and rhinestones gave the card some bling.

For the envelope I tried a technique that the lovely Siobhan Fitzsimmons showed us last week, stamping on the back of the envelope both on the flap and underneath. I was quite proud of myself for mastering this technique but in my eagerness I had stamped a C6 envelope which obviously the card wasn’t going to fit in, thankfully I had an envelope in my stash that fit perfectly and I was able to stamp on that.

And here is the Senior Moment card 😄

I hope you like the card that I chose to make, next on the hop is the wonderful and very talented Lou Kitzelman,  follow the link below which will take you straight to Lou’s blog post. A full list of all participants is at the bottom of this post.

Stay safe and happy crafting

  1. Super pretty! I love the flower carrying over to the inside of the card and the envelope. We’ve all had those brain freeze moments in crafting. At least you realised before you’ve addressed and stamped the envelope! Kelly x

  2. Lovely cards Sheila, your envelope closure is amazing, – and now you have to make another one to use up the envelope- sounds just like my craft room- one project always leads to another…..
