Hello and welcome to our Paper Adventures team blog for June. A big Australian welcome to Jan Brown from JanB cards who is our guest designer for this month’s blog, I was super excited when I heard that Jan was joining us this month as I am a devotee of hers and have CASE’d many of her fancy fold cards.
If you have arrived here from Mandy’s blog post you would have seen her wonderful projects, her designs are stunning. If this is your first stop you are in for a treat with all the wonderful designs you will see as you work your way through the blogs.
The card I have chosen is an Inside Block card which is one of Jan’s designs, follow this link if you would like the instructions – https://janbcards.com/?s=Inside+block+card.
One of my favourite DSP’s is Petal Promenade which unfortunately was retired at the end of May, I love roses which is probably why I like it so much. I used Grapefruit Grove cardstock and matted the patterned paper with whisper white, I think it looks very summery which is just what we need on this cold, wet and windy winters day. For the front I used the Stitched Labels Framelits which are a new product in the 2019/2020Stampin’ Up catalogue which was launched on June 4th, the sentiment is from the Everything is Rosy stamp set and the roses are from the Climbing Roses stamp set. As Jan’s card was a butterfly design, I added a few random butterflies.
I was so happy with this card that I decided to make another but couldn’t decide on a design. I have two friends who will be welcoming their first grandson in the coming month and in a flash the design was created.
I hope you like these cards as much as I enjoyed making them. Please contact me if you would like more information on Stampin’ Up, or would be interested in attending a workshop.
Thank you for joining us Jan and best wishes for your wedding next week ❤️
Next on the blog hop is Narelle who is a good friend of mine, you will love her designs.
Happy Crafting
Sheila
I love these inside block cards you have made Sheila! I must give this one a try. The addition of the cute butterflies on the first card is perfect and I love the sweet baby on the second card. Thanks for sharing!

I love both of these, Sheila, but especially the baby card. What a beautiful keepsake for your friend. I looked at this design but thought it was far too difficult for me, I’m so glad you weren’t such a scaredy cat!! 🙂 Siobhan.
